What is PICK 'n' MIX?
Pick 'n Mix Youth Services is an inclusive space for young people to connect, create and access local resources. Programs run during school terms at locations across the Blue Mountains.
Pick 'n' Mix is a partnership between Belong Blue Mountains and the Blue Mountains Women's Health and Resource Centre.
What makes this program different?
Pick 'n Mix Youth Services is a mobile, integrated youth-focused model that takes a holistic approach to wellbeing.
The program aims to provide young people with a range of offerings that they can 'pick and mix' depending on their needs.
What does it involve?
Pick 'n Mix engages young people in three focus areas:
ART, STUDY & HEALTH
ART: Because creative practice encourages self-exporession, exploration, joy and connection.
STUDY: Because young people don't always have the the resources they need to make education easy.
HEALTH: Because accurate, ongoing access to health information and resources are vital to overall wellbeing.
These focus areas are informed by the World Health Organisation's social determinants of Health.
