  Belong Blue Mountains Goes Digital for Neighbourhood Centre Week

“Belong Blue Mountains is excited to launch our social connection and support services into the virtual space.  We will support individuals and community groups to connect via our virtual Zoom Community Room and teleconference facilities, we have phone and video call social support and connection services, as well as a letter-writing initiative.  And we’ll continue to look for new and traditional ways to keep our community connected throughout the COVID restrictions” Danielle Wilding Forbes, Community Engagement Manager said.

The current COVID-19 government restrictions mean that we are required to temporarily suspend our community activities and events program, and have changed our Volunteer Visitor programs to phone services, but our doors are still open and here to support you. All of our other services are continuing, and we are working on new ways create community connections and support each other so we can get through the next few months together.  View the PDF document for more details.

With the current COVID-19 situation, community service organisations across the Blue Mountains have needed to make critical changes in the way services are provided to the community.  Organisations have either closed their doors completely to face-to-face contact or put in place strict hygenic and physical distancing measures to ensure the safety of staff, clients and the community at large.  However, most are in the process of implementing more innovative means of service delivery.  View the BM Community Services Delivery Arrangements during COVID-19 Restrictions PDF.
