OPEN AGE WORKSHOP

This Creative Writing workshop will help provide prompts to get your writing started. It will also help with more challenging exercises designed to get the creative juices flowing. Aimed at people who are high school age or older, this workshop is suitable for beginners and those more practised writers. It will stimulate fresh ideas in a series of exercises designed to inspire and challenge and, most importantly, be fun. Mark is a very experienced writer and teacher who hopes to impart a love of words and language.
Mark O’Flynn has published six collections of poems, most recently the chapbook Shared Breath (2017). His fourth novel The Last Days of Ava Langdon was short listed for the 2017 Miles Franklin award, the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, and was winner of the Voss Literary Prize, 2017. His latest book is the collection of short stories Dental Tourism, (Puncher & Wattmann, 2020).
The workshop is being run with t he generous support of Varuna Writers House and Belong Blue Mountains so there is not cost to participants.
